First of all, let us welcome our new sec1s tby juniors!*clapss( a bit late)
Hope you all would not bully them and treat them nicely.
Just to let you all know, we currently have 10 sec1 juniors.

so all, together with us seniors, TBY WOULD HAVE a no. of 31 members!
yay! haha.

Anyway, juniors, please find a chance to know who are your seniors and what are
their names. For seniors, which includes sec2, please try to interact with your
fellow juniors and shower them with your care. (OMGOSH. sounds so eeyer..)
nvm, at least be friendly to them EVEN WHEN YOU SEE THEM AROUND
IN SCHOOL. BOND!!!

And also, juniors, please make a habit of practicing what your seniors or
MR GOH teach you all. ( Our instructor is mr goh, NOT UNCLE OK!!)
If you are unsure of anything, please don't hesitate to clarify with him or
us.( we will not EAT YOU UP!)

Just a short reminder to se2 to sec5 seniors, the syf audition would
be held somewhere at the end of feb so pls memorise it and express
your playing with feelings and most importantly, taifeng.
Me, huiyi and jieying don't wish to repeat the same thing again
and again to ask you all to do taifeng. It is one of the factors we need to have
during syf to get gold. :)

P.s: keep it up! we can see that you all are keeping quiet during combined.:)

alright. SYF is round the corner and i seriously hope every single one of you will buck up.
sometimes, i feel tt some of us are playing faster than the usual speed. in the recent practices, i feel tt we are no longer as noisy as last time. SO KEEP IT UP! if you want to talk, WHISPER! DONT LET ME CATCH YOU TALKING!!!

SYF REHEARSAL is on the 1ST OF FEBRUARY. so all of us will have to memorise FNJ and SOC before tt date. If anyone of you are unable to play any part of these 2 songs, feel free to ask any of your seniors for help. you all have to master these 2 songs bf SYF and we' running out of time. so PLS PLS PLS ask if you need SERIOUS help!

as MR GOH has said on friday aft combined prac, we'll be having a MUSIC EXCHANGE with 5 other schs on the 21st MARCH.

Well, sec1 co auditions are over. TOO BAD TO THOSE
WHO CHOSE NOT TO COME BECUZ YOU'LL REGRET
NOT COMING. muahahaha. haha, ok lar, gd luck with all your
respective ccas luh.

Ok, to those sec1s. Thanks for making an effort to come down
for auditions today. Hope you had written chinese orchestra as
your first choice on the option form!. Don`t worry, once you come
for auditions, you are already qutie confirmed you're in co already
unless you change your mind which i hope not.
Hope you all did had a closer look at our instruments!

Now, seniors and sec2 juniors. I'm gonna make this short and simple.
I hope all of you have been practicing SOC and FNJ at home.
Like what MR goh had been repeating time after time, SYF isn`t a
laughing matter so we sls and mr goh hope to see much improvement
after each practice. btw, all those who are going for the ballroom
performance at the country club. Pls prepare the scores on this sat as we
are going through. THe scores are those we performed at hort park.
remember? if you don`t, feel free to ask any of us sls.

Btw, pls practice HE XIN NIAN and XIN AND ZUQU at home too.
they are the songs for cny performance. AND sec2 juniors, pls make sure
that you have a plain red colour t-shirt with collar.
The attire for cny performance is what i have mention and our co skirts.
Pls ask us sls if you dunnoe where to buy or you don`t understand what
i'm saying.

Hey Hey!

CCA FAIR's on Saturday, not Friday anymore. Friday's practice is also cancelled due to the lack of space cuz some of the CCAs are having their CCA FAIR on Friday.

So ya, I think the assembling time is 9.30am and we'll probably be playing SU BEI FENG QING and BRAZIL BRAZIL. So practice at home!

Attire: Pinafore inside, KCCO shirt outside.

According to Mdm Foo, we'll probably be performing at around 10plus, so be prepared then!

Btw, we might have extra practices when school reopen to prepare for SYF so ya, don't grumble cuz everyone have to go for it too! Details will be told later on, cuz it's based on everyone schedules.

Mr Goh also said that there will be an audition before SYF so all those members which do not sastify him will not be performing for SYF. Your attendance will also affect your status!

And FLS said that we must memorise the SYF pieces by Mid Jan cuz SYF is around April and we have the rehearsal on February.

Anw, the CO Board is editted already, the CO posters are also up around the school and the CO Banners can be found at the Foyer, beside Floorball's and on top on the Drinks Stall.

So yea, go check it out! (:

About the CBox colour, I wasn't the one who created it so I have TOTALLY NO IDEA whats the password or username. So ya, I can't change it. So it's all up to YITING now cuz she's the one who created it!

Hello! Yea, so KCCO Concert is finally over! Thanks for the effort everyone put in for this Concert, all the time we spent on it are not wasted! (:

The Concert was a success so its all thanks to you all! So now, we have to do even better for SYF and hopefully get a Gold or AT LEAST maintain a SILVER.

Ohya, Mr Goh said that TBY was rushing for quite a lot of parts, like
Bar 43 of FNJ, so there is still loads to improve for the choice piece. The set piece is even harder, so we still have to continue working hard even though the Concert is over already.

Hmm, taifeng, can see some of your moving, so it was not that bad. But we have to make it more obvious cuz the audience can't see us moving even though we ARE moving. Yup, so for SYF, we have to try even hard cuz the judges are not on stage so they'll probably cant see it too, if we stay at this "rate".

For expression, we have to try to smile cuz some of the audiences complained that our face was very blank so it was very boring watching us. :D

Okay, so the Concert is in the past now. We have to focus fully on SYF now. Even though we performed FNJ for the Concert, we still have a lot of parts to brush up, like Bar 43 and the man ban part. Yup, so we must try to do better for SYF than what we did for the Concert! :D

Remember to practice at home so that you won't forget what you've learnt the previous practice. Yup, FLS even said that we have to memorise the Set Piece by January which is quite impossible. But we still have to do it cuz SYF is just around teh corner. Even though it may seem to be like 2,3 months away, but we'll all be busy with our own stuff after school starts. CA1 is also around the time we have ou SYF so ya, we have to study AND practice also. So yep, if we can memorise SOC before school reopens, then it will be the best lar.

Ohya, SOC maybe a BIT harder for TBY so we have to spent more time on it and brush up FNJ at the same time. Yup, our practice times are quite limited lar, so you all also have to take the initative to practice at home. Please bring the instruments home if you do not have one at home lar. The SLs can't possibly remind you after every practice to practise at home, so you all have to do it yourself without reminders!

Remember, if we get a Gold for SYF, it'll benefit us too.
CCA Points = 5 points! MUAHAH.

So yup, work hard and we must bo better than what we did for the Concert.

The Concert is awesome.
SYF'2009 have to be even more awesome, brillant and fantastic.

Show other schools than KCCO can also do it! (:

PS. Even though FLS says we can go anywhere we want after teh Concert, but we'll still have to work harder for SYF. So yup, after you come back after your holidays overseas, please practice even more harder to make up for lost practices. Out of 23 TBY members we have, only around 11 or 12 made it for today's practice, so we can see how many rich people we have in KCCO TBY and how many are overseas.

KCCO EOY Camp

Hope that KCCO TBY is more bonded now, everyone had fun and that everyone made at least 2 or 3 new friends during camp. I know not everyone likes the long hours of practices cuz this is a CAMP, not some practice but ya, you all have to realise that we are different from other COs now. We have a Concert in just one week and this is our 1st Concert. I'm sure none of you want to embarrass yourselves on the stage and cry backstage cuz you're not prepared or anything. If we're really prepared for the Concert, we don't really have to worry about getting stage fright or anything. Just concentrate on the song and play with your erm... heart or something.

You don't want to let down the WHOLE KCCO just because you couldn't play on stage and just stare blankly or something.

NOW, a few more points:

Please be reminded that there will be an extra practice (not on the paper) on Tuesday, 2 November from 1pm to 4pm. Please remember to come earlier and prepare your instruments and tune them, thankyou.

Btw, the zhongruans need to keep their chairs and tables after every practice. We can't keep them for you all everytime, so please take note and don't just leave after greeting Mr Goh.

YA, okay, we MIGHT have another extra TBY practice for next week so we will tell you all ASAP. Those who can make it, please come since the Concert is just 1 week away from now. Those who can't are required to give a valid reason.

ALSO, please be in the full CO uniform, the one we wore for Photo-taking for the 3rd, 5th and 6th November.

I know we already have like 12 hours of practice for next week, but then please complain. 12 hours is only like half of one day. Besides, we just have to CHIONG one more week before the big thing and we can concentrate on FNJ and Song of Cicada.

So yup, try to be early to prepare all the instruments and tune them, so that we can start on time and we have more time to practice.

Yup, for the Concert too right, try to play with TAIFENG, at least a little if possible. It will be quite a good chance for us to practice before SYF'09.

KCCO TBY, its just one more week. I believe all of us can do it and bring KCCO to greater heights!

Hey:D

Pls be reminded that we`ll be having a small sectional practice for plucking outside co rm at 9am sharp on 19 of nov, wed. As you all know, there`s sectionals in the afternoon from 2.00-5.00pm so please try to be early for the early session, so that we won`t waste time uncessarily.

Another thing, please prepare and practice at home first before coming. We won`t want to waste time correcting you all and waste time practicing on the spot. We will be going through all our concert pieces, fnj, chan ge and probably choosing we song we want to play for camp's guan mo hui.

Just to let the juniors know. Guan mo hui is like a mini concert we have annually but its in the school hall, with only the instructors, teachers, alumni and the other sections as our audience.
We will play section by section and through this guan mo hui, we`ll prove to them our skills and what we`ve got as a whole plucking section. :D

Its quite fun, fyi so enjoy it during camp ba:D

First of all, lets give Huiyi an applause! *wooo!*claps.

And, yes. Pls take note what Huiyi had mentioned. i saw
the juniors and the seniors keeping their own tables and chairs after sectionals yesterday.
Good yea? Must try to help the SLs by keeping your own table and chair because we have to run
up and down and keep our own instruments too.

Combine wasn`t that bad yea? But we believe that you all can do better:D
Didn`t we received our syf set piece yesterday?
Well, although we must focus on our concert songs now but we should start practicing
it now. As all of you know, the scores for plucking is harder than other sections*ahem
ESPECIALLY YANGQIN. ( huiyi, see?)
So, all the more we should start practicing earlier so that we would be ready when we go
through during combine:D

Mr goh frowns every now and then because he's super worried about us.
So please, don`t make him worry yea?Coz he's our instructor too.
He's trying very hard to make everything perfect but we aren`t really trying.

Hello Hello!

Haha, I know this blog's dead for very long but I guess all the SLs are quite busy so forgive us for not being to update it. :D

Anw, a few things to note:

1) Please keep your own stands, tables and chairs after every CO practice, combined or sectionals. The SLs can't always help you all keep them cuz we have our own to keep too. For sectionals, please move all the chairs and tables back to their original positions before leaving the classrooms.

2) Please please please remember to practice at home so that you won't forgot what you have learnt during that practice.

3) Try to pay more attention to Mr Goh during combined so that you will know when you are supposed to come in. Like what he said, there's not point looking at the pu, since the notes on it will never change. I believe, that after playing the songs for quite a long period of time, you all would have somehow memorised a bit of your songs. So, try to look at Mr Goh when playing.

4) Please do not be late for any practice. FLS already said for the holidays, we must be seated in the gym with your instruments ready, by 8.45. If not, she'll probably punish you all. And if we are early for practice, that means we have a longer time to practice.

Okay, after talking so much, please rmb that the EOY Concert is our first concert in 8 years and is very important to us. So please please practice hard, okay? We want our first concert o be successful, okay? In order to succeed, we need each and everyone of your cooperation since all of you will be the key factor to our success. If I seem like I'm scolding or nagging at you, when I shouldn't be, then I'm sorry. But still, please remember to practice hard and brush up on all your songs. Thank you.

we haven even got any song PERFECT yet.

sorry for being so harsh now but its really impt
for you all to know, A CONCERT ISN`T ANY
EASY MATTER. IT REPRESENTS OUR ACHEIVEMENTS
:D DON`T TAKE IT TOO LIGHTLY.

plus, plucking performs the most!
(no offence to other sections)
so we must work double-harder than other sections.

HEY PEOPLE!

I should be revising for my very very hard HMT paper now but I shall take this time and blog.

Hope you all can memorise FNJ by the next combined practice. If not, I think FLS will surely kill us.

And please practice during sectionals and combined, okay? Is like when Mr Goh is talking to some other section, you all will just talk and talk and talk non-stop. If its something to do with CO, then okay. Just keep the volume down. If its not, talk during your break or after practice. Like what Joanne/Iris said, our practicing time is already very little and we don't want to waste it. So when Mr Goh is teaching other sections during combined, just keep quiet or memorise the scores, so that you can look at Mr Goh when you play, and not keep staring at the file. Thanks!

And one more important thing, TAIFENG. Can you all please practice your taifeng or at least move. I see you all just sitting there, playing the thing stoneless-ly, glaring at the pu. If we really want to get a GOLD for SYF next year, then we must move and be "dramatic". If you really want 5 points for your CCA points, you all must have taifeng!

YiTing, JieYing and I reminded all of you for a lot of times and we sometimes see you all moving during practice and thats great. BUT... very few of us moved when the actual performance comes. Maybe we're all scared of the audiences laughing but still... we have to do it.

ANW, the Eunos CC Performance was okay. You all played very well and all. But I think very few of us moved at all. So, taifeng is really one part we can improve on. The liuqin, pipa and zhongruan can strum the strings very dramatically. As for the yangqin..erm...can shake our heads when playing then. HAHA.

Anw, good job for the 10 people performing yesterday!

I can see that the whole Plucking is improving, so keep up the good work too! :D

Next performance, Mid Autumn. ( I think)

And Sec1s will probably be playing this time. AHA! Better go home and practice! And those who don't have instruments, please rmb to bring them home to practice.

ok la, that was just a lame, idiotic starting.

We had combine on fri, 25/7.
DO YOU PPL AGREE THAT IT WAS JUST so terrible!?
ok la, maybe the other sections may not think so but
plucking! must improve ok?
i can say, plucking is way back compared to other sections.
haiz.i can only say, jiayou ba, plucking and kcco!!

some ppl close their scores ler, but some is because of the juniors then
cannot close. Juniors! i know its hard for you all to memorise within
such a short time, especially you all just like finish learning how to play.
try ok? i believe you all got the ability to prove to us seniors!!

Btw, can you all stop talking when mr goh is teaching other sections??
i know its very bored, sitting there doing nothing.
but pls, try not to talk.kays?

Performance for Racial Harmoney Day on 21 July. Good Luck to all the seniors performing and hopefully, we can last through the 12 minutes plus song. All the energy needed to pluck. OMG.

And there's the Eunos CC Performance. Heard that we'll be performing Shi Jian and Songs of Singapore. I'm not really sure, but you all just prepare the 2 songs, in case. Anw, its on the 2nd of August, at night probably. So prepare for it! (:

HI PLUCKERS!

Haha, I never updated the blog for a long long time le. Anw, school has started, so all I can say is that all of us just have to stop playing, and start studying. But while you all are studying, don't forgot to always practice your instruments!

Important notice to take note:

FNJ - The song that we will be playing for SYF' 2009 has to be remembered by 1 July 2008. This includes all the Sec1s. Should you have any doubts on how to play a certain part of FNJ, you can always ask your seniors.

The whole KCCO needs to play the whole song well by at least DEC as thats where the new song will come in. As SYF is in APRIL, we only have around 5 months to practice the new song. Thus, if we played it well enough before Dec, we can focus on the new song from then to April.

EMDD's in 3 more days! Good luck to the 9 people in TBY who are performing in EMDD! This is the first time that most of us are performing for such a grand event so we had better play it well! So rmb, practice all your songs thoroughly!

Hey people!=) Sorry for not updating lately... me and huiyi are busy doing hols hw and now that the hols over,lets pick up our books and start studying ba! For the people who are going for emdd,please try to remember some parts of the song. Whole song would be better and try to learn how to play the song, going with it smoothly, In other words, its taifeng.I guess the audience don`t want to see a so called' dead' orchestra.=)

As you people know, we will be having our own KCCO concert at the end of the year, the early december so this would be a good chance for the pluckers( emdd people) to so called 'practice' on stage, but dun really like treat it as a practice lah...its a performance.!.

Ok, i know some people may be thinking, ' i already went for syf last year, why still need all this, you should be the one!' Yes i agree but I am doing it now so you people must do too.=))

Ok, enough of my so called' nonsense', if you call that.Now, theres like 4 days left before we have emdd, so people practice more!.Same for the sec1s,although you all not going for emdd,but must practice too! i think your seniors are going to test you on feng nian ji and see hows your progress.

Ok la, i think people might already be thinking i`m so naggy.. fine!=(. haha...For your own good people!..(i like mother like that) haiz...=)

sec1s had already started learning fnj so must remember to practice ok??Hope all of you can master + memorise it by july. I know it may be hard for you all to master within a short time especially its an syf song, but try your best kays??Prove to others that our plucking section is not a weak section alrights??:D.

Anyway, since the juniors are practicing, seniors cannot slack also, must work equally hard ok? ( that includes me)We received the 欢欣 score today right?? must try to play it although its like F major, might be hard for some instruments. We also received the jingle bell score also right?? Can try it but our main focus is on fnj ok??haha;D

Hi pluckers! Hmm... so...how well do you think we played for our performance today??haha..i shan`t say it out..you all know whats happening right?? But, although we didn`t perform as well as we could, your effort is appreciated but it can be improved right?haha..=) and do you all agree that its was freaking cold there??but its worse if we are performing outdoors.Can you imagine that?haha=)Seriously, i find that the pipas were playing a LITTLE fast and tby was just going faster and faster.I didn`t mean anything, ok?(i`m not pushing the blame to pipas)I mean, on the whole, it was TBY`S fault, not just pipas..haa=) Well, we just have to control our speed, yea?( u may find me crazy, hahaing here and there, but i`m trying to make it not like scolding u all)alright now, photo time:(you may provide somemore photos if u have)

HI KCCO Plucking!

YEAH, we finally have our own blog! Haha, now people can't say Plucking don't have our own blog. :P

Anw, as Yi Ting has already said the purpose of this blog, I just want to say that KCCO Plucking must always work hard and strive to be our best. Sec1s, practice your instruments more frequently now since the exams are all over now. So there is no excuse of you all not playing. And if you can, try to play FNJ as you all need to play and memorise the song by JULY. Sec 2s and 3s, can also help to teach your juniors the songs and also improve on FNJ.

Practice starts next Wednesday, 14th of May. So, I hope that when all of you come back for practice, your playing will be much much better than how you play before the break. That means, you must improve on all the songs you have now, like Ju Hua Tai, Shi Jian and Brazil Brazil.

Practice hard, Plucking, and strive for the best for SYF' 2009. Remember, our goal is neither bronze nor silver. Our goal is GOLD. So practice hard! (:
